BPC (Angola's Bank) and BAI (Angola´s Bank)
BPC - BAI - Banking Management by Indicators
During a Core Banking development project, the need to integrate the clients' Business Intelligence systems, based on MicroStrategy, with the new technological platform that was being implemented was detected. Financial Accounting dashboards embedded in their own banking applications were developed for both clients. Work was done on the corporate Data Warehouse of each bank, with a significant number of records. Control panels (with more than 20 reports each) were created in which the functionalities of the chosen tool were used to the maximum, such as charts, widgets, selectors, navigation between attributes, calculated indicators, filters, subtotals, consolidations and custom groups. among other.

PDVSA (Venezuela's Petroleum Company)
PDVSA - BI Governance & Architecture
For PDVSA, which is a group of more than 350 companies that supply oil and natural gas, Adagio designed and implemented a new corporate data and analytics governance system based on Open Source BI technology. Our team worked with PDVSA for 4 years with 20 resources on site and 40 resources offshore and completed the following tasks: - A diagnosis of corporate BI was conducted and based on requirements, open-source BI components were implemented, thus enabling comparison with private world-class platforms. Based on the findings and results of Adagio’s analysis and diagnosis, PDVSA selected Pentaho as their unifying BI platform for all groups. - Adagio helped design and build a consistent methodology and architecture for PDVSA’s new Pentaho BI platform. - Several analytical modules were implemented for strategic and operational management, including the analytic management of Internal Audit, Finance, Sales, Financing and Operations (upstream and downstream.) - Adagio then helped design and implement a Corporate Integration Bus using open source technologies. The implemented Bus allows the dynamic and parametric configuration of the flow of processes and business rules, as well as the early detection of opportunities to improve the integration process. Technology used: Pentaho, Bonita, MariaDB, WSO2, Redhat and other open source technologies. In addition, we implemented the Treasurer and Financial Cash Flow in a new platform based on Microsoft and Pentaho technology for ETL processes. Finally, the new corporate financial and operational consolidation system was implemented using Pentaho (PDI, Reports and Dashboards), MariaDB, Bonita and WSO2.
BPS (government's social security institute from Uruguay)
BPS - BI Platform Consolidation
Design and implement a business intelligence platform to provide self-management, report visualization and query tools. First, Adagio provided strategic consulting services to help consolidate and evolve the use of open source technologies to support the bank’s business intelligence needs. A new intra-organization “consultancy management” system was implemented, a tool that enables taxpayers to get answers to commonly asked questions on their own. Pentaho was used as the technological core of the solution. In addition, Adagio implemented the following: - A balanced scorecard designed with Pentaho - A Pentaho based information visualization tool that extracts data from different and diverse sources to provide insights on tax refunds - A query tool that provides the taxpayer with better information about the status of their social security ( Implementation of a consultation tool for the situation of certificates to inform the taxpayer about sent notifications and situation regularization.) An important part of this initiative was ensuring that data from the business intelligence platform could be published to the Internet and made accessible to the public in a web application.

We also worked with the University team to construct more than 150 predefined reports. The technological platform used for the warehouse consists of PostgreSQL as the database engine, Pentaho Data Integration, Pentaho BI and CDE for dashboard development. The project was completed using both onsite and offshore resources with half the technical team in the ITCR offices (Costa Rica). The Adagio team provided analysis, diagnosis, modeling, data loading, development, training and support.
