Customer success story Maxwell + YouTeam

Maxwell + YouTeam
“When you have a moment, can you share the company/group you mentioned you used to get setup with an engineering team in Chile? If you also have an introduction to someone there, that would help as well. ”

Extend your team with remote developers now!

Hire engineers

Why did you decide to hire a remote dev team?

Agility and diversity are some of the key values with which the Maxwell Engineering team operates. Ever since the founding of Maxwell, those values have served us well and are an integral part of our operational success.

As we looked into growing the engineering team in 2019, we believed a remote development team will give us the ability to grow the team while staying agile in our day-to-day execution and will bring a broader range of diverse perspectives from developers across the globe.

There are lots of options for hiring remote engineers. What made you choose YouTeam?

We were introduced to YouTeam by the CEO/founder of a company we shared our lead investor with. That recommendation was a strong reason for us to review YouTeam’s model.

After some initial conversations, we felt that YouTeam was aligned with our operational values and would be a good partner for us—not just for the short-term needs, but in the long-term as well.

What made you decide to hire these particular developers?

At Maxwell, every team member, regardless of if they’re full-time or on a contract basis, is evaluated both for culture and values fit as well as a technical fit.

On the Engineering team, during our interview process, we ensure that a developer candidate has an opportunity to meet a few members of the team, ask questions, and get to know each other before we assess the technical match.

YouTeam does a great job of identifying available candidates for us to review and select for the interviews as they understand that both values and technical fit are important for us.

What’s the main value of YouTeam for you?

In the last 12 months, YouTeam has been a great partner for a few reasons—their ability to understand our requirements beyond just the technical needs, and being flexible and adapting to our needs as we grow.

On a tactical level, YouTeam has a smooth onboarding process and the regular check-ins with our Customer Success Manager are valuable to ensure a successful ongoing partnership.

Would you ask YouTeam to source candidates for your projects again, if there was a need?

Yes. We consider YouTeam to be one of our first options if and when we need to grow the team again.
