The project represents an add-on that turns a desktop CAD system into a narrowly-targeted application. It boosts crating of 2D drawings in its applicable area (plans for yards and pools). Also, it generates 3D models based on the drawings and a resource inventory (which includes standard and custom materials, models, their costs, and so on).

The project is intended to help engineers to see how objects will be located behind other (mostly solid) objects using augmented reality. Despite builders being expected to be the main users (to see tubes and wirings inside walls), the application can be used to investigate real-size/scaled 3D models of cars, pumps, rooms, furniture, and other real-world complex objects before they are done and mounted.

The project is a vital part of communication between customers and the company support L1-L3 engineers. It may be compared to Jira created with a proprietary (Java EE + RDB) framework. The portal stands as a service desk for clients. They raise a ticket in the system and all the rest is managed there – integration with a bunch of inner systems (for example, a time tracking system and Jira servers), SLA tracking, email notifications, and other features that help to keep customers satisfied.
