Developed the back-end for a variety of projects built in .NET 6.0, as well as a ‘micro’ front-end written in Angular. Responsible for maintaining the pipeline and infrastructure hosted on Microsoft Azure of a new project with terraform and Azure DevOps.

My first role as a technical lead where I was responsible for making business decisions about what software to implement, taking into account factors such as cost and return on investment. Created and deployed an AWS microservice architecture from scratch with CI/CD as Code and Infrastructure as Code technologies in order to build an effective robust solution. Graphing technologies such as D3.js and a Neo4j database were implemented to provide an alternative solution to problems in the fraud detection industry. Worked with event driven architecture technologies such as SNS, SQS and event driven Lambda functions to send emails, notifications, commence ETL processes and run analyses.

I developed new features and resolved issues in back-end which was developed in.NET, and refactored the Angular front-end from JavaScript to TypeScript and implemented Selenium, Protractor and Jest unit testing frameworks to allow for Azure DevOps builds to be automatically tested before being released. Migrated parts of the code into Azure Functions and implemented Docker for these microservices.

Responsibilities & achievements

Implementing bug fixes and developing client facing features. Migrating code from .NET Framework to .NET Core as well as from Razor / Knockout.js to React. Optimized SQL Server stored procedures and Entity Framework executions through table indexing and minimizing row lengths.
