Responsibilities & achievements

This App was written in lit-html, LitElement and React + Apollo technologies, so the Graphql was in use to communicate between front-end and back-end, but the back-end was written in ASP.NET and it was maintained by internal client’s team, so I only worked on front-end. I love this project because there were quite interesting and atypical behaviors and features, and I learned a lot of new technologies here and I made all these things work in practice. For example this app was written in lit-html and LitElement and I rewrote it to React. It was quite an interesting experience to learn how these libraries look and how all the components were built on their base. Also I met a lot of web components and custom observing libraries here and I researched how all this stuff works before we migrated most parts of the app to React and Typescript. This was also the project where I practiced GraphQL and Apollo a lot: I built new queries, mutations and subscriptions, added paging and sorting and there were a lot of updates to existing schema.

Responsibilities & achievements

Firstly, the project was developed using Express.js (and Java for some modules) on the back-end and React/Angular/Typescript on the front-end. I love it because there were a lot of interesting and atypical behaviors and features, and things that I implemented and I brought were really valuable updates to the product. I learned a lot of new technologies here and I made all these things work in practice. For example, on the back-end, I integrated and interacted with Google Cloud SDK: basically migrated the file storage to the GCP storage, added a GCP vision, rewrote MongoDB queries into ElasticSearch queries, used an ElasticSearch library for automatic indexation and configured product recognition by a photo. Another example was around Mobile experience on this app. This is the project where I partially helped with Ionic, Cordova development (that was mostly about the UI/UX with minor functional updates. The most challenging part for me was to learn how to use the development migration tools but I figured it out and it ended up being a very valuable skill for me
