Exploratory testing for new bug discovery, as well as testing newly implemented changes to confirm they are working as expected. Databases tables testing assessing the correct data were created and saved when interacting with the Front End as a user. Bug reporting: Creation of bug items on Jira with the corresponding information and evidence, assessing their impact, severity, and priority, and assigning them to the corresponding developer for the fix to be deployed. Further tracking and testing through the different environments to ensure the bug was correctly solved and that new changes don’t impact other system areas. Endpoints testing: Manual testing from Front End, analyzing HTTP requests and their corresponding responses. Using Postman software to mimic payloads and requests and checking answers if the integration with the Front End is still pending. Test cases Designing: Creating test cases to execute for new features, considering the limit values and possibly unhandled behaviors, and analyzing and confirming expected results with the client.

Responsibilities & achievements

Used Selenium framework, Page Object Model, and Table-driven methodologies to test a banking application. I designed SQL queries for data retrieval to use during the execution of said scripts. Direct communication with the client on daily stand-up meetings for the automation team, working in an Agile environment (following SCRUM practices), sharing daily progress, plans, and any blockers encountered. Bugs/impediments reporting on Azure DevOps, monitoring, analysis, and scripts re-execution to test the proper bug fixes were implemented correctly and no longer affecting the system. Failure analysis on Regression Testing: Analysis of failed test cases to identify possible issues with the last code integration. Script amending (if applicable) and bugs/impediments reporting monitoring, and analysis in case any problem is found. Downstream validations on Regression Testing: Checking if expected transactions performed during the test execution were correctly populated in the SQL database through automated and manual analysis. Reporting cases of transactions present in General Ledger was not correctly populated in the SQL Transactions Database.
