- I led a team of 2 developers to create a system that included modules for the administration of thesis work by the Academic and Administrative Area, improving by 30% the time spent reviewing uploaded documents. - I led a project to request information required by the state, aimed at new students who might be in a vulnerable situation, improving by 300% the number of student data collected. - Developed a custom Bootstrap theme using the brand book provided by the Marketing Department, helping to unify 100% the look and feel of newly developed web applications and legacy applications.

Responsibilities & achievements

-In recent years I drove the adoption of React and Monitoring Practices (e.g., Sentry) inside our codebase. First by using it to develop some new options inside our legacy admin site. E.g., an interactive custom SMS webapp to send bulk notifications to students, using the Infobip API. Also developed various modules inside our Admin, Professors, Reservation Site (a legacy VB.NET Webforms Site). For the backend developed primarily in .NET with SQL Server 2008 and 2017. -Using the brand book provided by UPN Marketing Department customized a Bootstrap theme to take advantage of the fact we were already using it in our legacy codebases, presenting a homogenous UI with the legacy sites and the new modules in React. -Developed Node.js (managed with PM2 for restarts) long running console programs and C# Windows Services which used the amqp protocol to process and route a high number of xml messages between various internal systems (e.g., Peoplesoft invoice system and our Student Portal). Added unit test for key parts of the Node.js processing logic. -Developed ETLs using SQL Server Integration Services for data migrations between SQL Server and various other datastores connectors over the years (Snowflake, Oracle, Visual FoxPro). -In the first months I drove the adoption of git inside our organization migrating from SVN, in the process teaching developers of the team to use git for collaboration.
