We worked with the engineering team building from scratch the backend part and cloud infrastructure of the application, written in Typescript using NodeJs and Fastify as a framework, MySQL as a database (using google cloud SQL), and GCP as our cloud platform with 3 different projects and instances deployed with Google Kubernetes Engine (integration, staging, and production).
Responsibilities & achievements
Our services communicated with other services using google pub/sub. The credentials were delivered through google secret manager into the different environments, locally we authenticated every user managing their permissions through Google IAM and using google cloud SDK to get the user credentials and use it to connect to our databases with google cloud SQL proxy. Everything was integrated with a CI/CD pipeline in gitlab using a mirror repository connected to our github monorepo that hosted our SDK, migration, API, and some other packages. This pipeline was in charge of building the application, testing it, building the artifact, and ultimately deploying it to every single one of the instances.

We built an AWS infrastructure where we received our device's data in the MQTT broker provided by AWS IoT core, we dumped this data in RDS and DynamoDB using AWS Lambdas, running everything on AWS EC2. Finally, we used AWS Athena to get some analytics.

Maintained and developed new features of a health management system widely used in South America. Not only managed the client schedule but also had samples traceability and supported numerous devices communication, also supported various country's health requirements.
Responsibilities & achievements
Helped with planning and executing a migration from this monolithic architecture written in Java, with an SQL server database and some sort of frontend framework that used java inside SQL transactions to a microservices architecture, maintaining the same database and migrating screen by screen to Angular. In the new architecture, we used hibernate as our ORM.
