Developer in a complex project to create a meter maintenance app for a utility provider company. The app runs on an industrial Android device, and it provides task assignments for the reader staff of the company's contractors, reader device information, and camera based features to help the tasks. The app also connects to a mobile printer. For the app distribution the Mobile Iron framework had to be integrated. The design for the app was created by the utility company based on internal UI standards, and the backend was implemented by a 3rd party vendor, for whom interface specifications had to be provided.

The goal of the project is to create an e-learning system for those students who got no membership for the boarding school of MCC. There are different contents in the application which are created in a CMS system. There are articles to read, lessons, courses to learn and quiz to take, events to register for.

Responsibilities & achievements

The image processing server application analyzing images of envelopes.The server analyses the envelopes which for different reasons returned to the sender company. The hardver (assembly line) installed by the client, creates and passes the images of the envelopes to the server application, which identifies the reasons for the return. It reads the barcode, the data matrix and, if necessary the sender and the recipient as well. The read data is saved in a specific form and the server transmits them to the targeted hardware.
