The primary task for this project was to develop a custom loyalty app that allows the admin to offer different customers varying discounts based on their purchasing behavior. Working closely with the backend developer, we created an app that groups customers based on their order history and assigns discounts accordingly. For instance, customers who have placed orders worth over $1,000 in the last six months are grouped into group A and receive a 10% discount. From the front end, I designed a modal widget that displayed how much sales the customer needs to make to reach the next level of their discount. Additionally, I rebuilt each price displayed in the store to show discounted prices and applied the discount to the final checkout total.

Responsibilities & achievements

~ Created custom collection filtering according to event dates. With the help of my customizations, users are able to filter products by their date for events. I used a product Metafield which allows an admin to fill in the date for each event straight into Metafields‰ ~ Created a flow in the Shopify flow app that integrated with Klaviyo. I pulled order info and, in case there is an event with a date in Metafield, stored this info in customer Klaviyo properties. After that, I started a flow that sent an email a day before the event and two days after the event.

The main challenge was fully customizing the MBC Bundles app from the Shopify store to fit the client's specific needs. MBC Bundles is a Shopify app that allows merchants to create custom product bundles with discounted prices. It SASS provides flexible options to create bundle deals for products with different variants and allows merchants to set the discount percentage for each bundle. The app also enables merchants to control the inventory levels of the bundled products and provides automatic inventory reduction after the bundle is purchased. Using JavaScript, I restyled the application, moved it into a popup, and added custom product option selectors.
