Playwire
User-friendly Google Tag Manager wrapper. Improved CI/CD pipeline, did some backend/frontend improvements, security patches, feature enhancements, wrote a lot of tests, consulted colleagues.
Responsibilities & achievements
● Lower CI/CD pipeline execution timings 4x, with same cost. ● Patched logic that initially caused duplications for some records. ● Worked on improving statistics pages (which is a pain of affiliate marketing projects imho) ● Fixed some vulns found by myself (RCE), fixed some that came from security audit later (SCP).
Quik.auto
Automotive B2C for car inspection/repair Bumped Rails version, some backend optimisation, integration with DMS APIs (poorly documented and old ones, supporting only XML)
Responsibilities & achievements
● Version bumps ● Wrapping APIs, integrations with business logic ● Pair programming sessions with minor colleagues
Mejuri
Canadian e-commerce solution for jewelry & accessories Made reverse compatibility for an API wrapper of Tax Calculating Service (Avalara Avatax).
Responsibilities & achievements
● Adding support of gem for older versions of spree ● Minor frontend improvements and refactorings
Coverbook
A publishing platform for Instagram business. Contains a browser web-version and an iOS-application The users can create the lookbooks, attach the affiliate links to the goods from the internet shop. The traffic is monetized via affiliate links purchases. The catalogs are collected as data feeds - several dozen gigabytes of text files. The necessary goods are parsed from the data feeds and are inserted into Elasticsearch. The API for ElasticSearch was developed on Phoenix. The inserting was realized by Ruby / Sidekiq, later we started using Elixir/flow.
Responsibilities & achievements
● Backend development on Ruby ● Front-end development on React.js ● Test coverage ● Mentorship of junior team members ● Monitoring of pull requests ● Deploying of releases
Richpays
CPA (cost-per-action) platform for monetization of mobile traffic via installing the applications from Google Play Store and App Store. The application contains a partnership platform (a browser single-page app), admin panel, payout, and referral system. There is an option to output the real-time statistics of clicks and conversions. There were no upper boundaries of the traffic, and the system was designed in order to be able to handle the growth of the traffic hundreds of times at a moment.
Responsibilities & achievements
● development of JSON API for front-end ● refactoring of statistics/conversions ● implementation of new features (user authentication, interaction with post service and image hosting API, creating of the ticket system, developing of offers from the admin panel, coding/decoding of user identification, processing the queries from advertising networks) ● optimization of response time ● migration from Heroku to Digital Ocean ● deploy with Capistrano
