Bitovi simplifies JavaScript development and UX design (Software development consulting firm)

What I remember from this position that made me feel proud of it was, firstly, the team! We were a small group of 3 developers with 11 backend developers (Python with Django and Pandas) but the main aim of the company and the project was to make good decisions with money collected to help people with lower resources, we were dealing with clients such as Unicef for example, and I have no words to describe how good it feels to do something good, something useful with your knowledge. I mean, to use coding to help someone else in need felt special.

A user-centric design and development company based in the Valley. I was hired as Node.js backend-only developer at the very beginning, then I became the tech lead of one of the 2 squads we had and once we have a stable, fast and secure backend (built with micro services over GCP using GraphQL and Apollo) - they realized how picky I was on the frontend pull requests on React.js code (mainly) and asked me to join not only the web (FE team) but also the mobile (React Native project) team as well. So something that started as mainly focused backend work ended up being an incredible full stack position.

It was such an amazing journey, and it definitely grew me personally and professionally. The project started as an MVP (only to be showcased in NYC), and then the startup grew and grew.
