Web application that allow the clients of a bioinformatic company to access reports of their genetic profile in areas such as health, nutrition and fitness. Test ADN stores thousands of genetic profiles that are generated from NGS raw data that can be up to TBs in size in order of magnitude.

Test ADN handles case data that ranges from 1.000 to 100.000+ gene variants. To manage the volume of data that has to be ingested, we developed a module that partitions the input data and queue a task for each partition of data to be loaded. This allow us to scale up significantly the load process by distributing the tasks across different servers.

Managing genetic data associated with a person imposes severe requirements related to confidentiality. We store genetic data and data related to a person’s identity in separate places and maintain the relationship between them encrypted.

We implemented an automated workflow that allow the clients of the bioinformatic company to purchase a genetic report using an online payments system. The workflow also offers the users to be notified about the shipping status of the order
