Design and develop the Financial API that holds, processes, and aggregates the financial and impact data of Portfolio companies and funds from scratch. The database started from a small database with 2000 companies and 100 funds. I designed the API recalling to be able to hold and compact the data between our initial data provider (Morningstar), Refinitiv, and MSCI. Now we have about 800k securities and 60k funds information. Coordinate improvements to the platform and ML and NLP research to seek ways to improve the data gathering and stop depending on API data providers such as Refinitiv or Morningstar. Coordinate a group of developers that do the day-to-day maintenance and improvements. Propose and coordinate improvements on the UX of the platform.

I was in charge of taking a template and adapt it to look like the brand and at the same time develop all the functionalities without connecting to the backend.

Analyze, maintain, and design (the backend, database, and front) the Fleet Monitoring System of the company. When I started maintaining the system, the company had a big problem: from the moment the car sent the signal to the moment it was shown on the map in the admin panel, it took up to 1 minute. After telling them the pain points and what was coming if we didn't attack them, there was a bottleneck that caused a 1-day delay in reporting, which is a problem if you consider the system had a panic button attack that was supposed to work if they had a problem while driving (robbery included). After they finally saw what I was predicting was true, they gave me creative license to redesign the system. Redesigning a full system eight years old back then was going to take too long, so I proposed redesigning and moving out the process of capturing and processing from ASP.NET Classic and SQL Server Store Procedures Jobs, which is completely asynchronous to NodeJS. After doing the redo, the system received the data of 200 cars each 30 seconds, processed the GPS SMS, generated all 15 different alerts based on that processing, and reported it in less than 1 second. I still do periodical consulting for this company (every six months to a year). And the system now holds more than 500 vehicles in its float without major architectural changes since then.
